THE CHALLENGE

Kikkoman is a world leader in soy sauce, Asian sauces, marinades and glazes. Kikkoman USA tasked Mattson with contemporizing the flavor profiles in its line of four cooking sauces, which had been on the market for 25 plus years.

OUR WORK

We reformulated the products for today’s savvy food consumer, and in the process, reduced the sodium levels and removed the preservatives from the formulae.

THE RESULT

The result is a healthier, natural, more delicious product line that better positions Kikkoman to defend against competitive threat.
