IDENTIFYING AND CREATING A NEW CATEGORY

THE CHALLENGE

After burgers, the most frequent usage of ground beef is making tacos at home.  Dry taco seasoning packets have been around for decades and taste like it.  That’s where the opportunity for More Than Gourmet presented itself: to create a seasoning stock concentrate to blend with ground meat to make savory, delicious tacos.

OUR WORK

During development, we used Mattson Consumer Guidance Panels to vet product and preparation in consumers’ homes.

The feedback was overwhelmingly positive. Wicked Tasty Taco sauce provides for consumers a huge leap in hedonics, preparation simplicity and serving size flexibility.

THE RESULT

Wicked Tasty Taco is launching two SKUs in early 2018. And the taco seasoning category will never be the same again.
