My Home Economics teacher mother had all five kids cooking in the kitchen by the age of 7.

I found Food Science at UC Davis – the perfect marriage of my love of Chemistry and my passion for cooking. I have worked on just about every kind of food product, but have especially enjoyed applications work with novel food ingredients.

My weekends always start at the local Farmers Market and end by hosting a large Sunday dinner for my neighbors and friends. I also love gardening and canning my own produce.
