OPTIMIZING PRODUCT CONSISTENCY TO ALIGN WITH CONSUMER EXPECTATIONS
Enjoy Life hired Mattson to optimize their mini crunchy and soft cookies. They had recently launched the product lines and were getting consumer complaints. Another challenging aspect of the project was commercialization, as Enjoy Life had recently moved to a new production facility.
Mattson reformulated the cookies to taste more like their current soft and crunchy cookies. We incorporated new allergen free ingredients to create delicious lunchbox friendly flavors. Mattson worked with Enjoy Life’s plant personnel to scale up and commercialize the mini cookies. We created a new flour blend to create the right texture and structure. Our team successfully developed and commercialized four crunchy flavors and three soft flavors.
In 2017, Enjoy Life Foods launched their seven new cookie SKUs.
