CREATING PRODUCTS FOR INCREMENTAL GROWTH IN THE NATURAL CHANNEL
Truco Enterprises had a sizeable presence in traditional retail, but wanted to expand their offerings into the natural channel. Truco hired Mattson to develop a superior organic salsa to accompany the launch of their On The Border Organic Tortilla Chips.
Truco needed to deliver on the signature flavor, texture and quality that On the Border consumers love. On an accelerated timeline, Mattson led benchtop development of an organic salsa. We aligned with Truco’s manufacturing team at an early stage to identify turnkey ingredients and processing capabilities in order to streamline commercialization. Once scaled, we conducted robust Mattson Consumer Insights in order to supercharge retailer sales efforts with data.
On a parallel path with their organic yellow and blue corn tortilla chips, Truco launched Organic Salsa in 2017.
