Formulating Extraordinary Products With Targeted Nutrition
Nestlé sought to expand Skinny Cow’s frozen novelty pop equity into the candy aisle. The challenge was to create a creamy, craveable product that delivered indulgence without guilt, in a much more difficult shelf-stable form.
We developed Skinny Cow Dreamy Clusters, comprised of caramel and crispy pieces enrobed in chocolate. Our formulations had to be moderate in caloric density and fat, while fortified with fiber to hit a Weight Watchers point target. The product and manufacturing process were perfected using feedback from our Integrated Consumer Insights (ICI) panels.
Skinny Cow launched Dreamy Clusters in May 2011 and is distributed at major retailers, including Safeway, Target, CVS, Rite Aid, and Walgreens.
